The Talamanca-Caribbean Biological Corridor Commission provides guidance on land-use management and is comprised of 13 representatives. The Talamanca-Caribbean Biological Corridor Commission provides guidance on land-use management within the Corridor by appointment of the Ministry for Natural Resources, Energy and Mining (MIRENEM), which has oversight of Costa Rica's national parks, biological and indigenous reserves, and other protected areas, and manages the country's natural resources on both public and private lands.
